We’re Still Scouting Safely!
Pack 1600 recognizes the importance of safety during the COVID-19 pandemic. Scouting remains an excellent program for families during this time of uncertainty. The Pack has developed a “Restart Plan” for ensuring we operate safely and can continue to provide opportunities for leadership, community, outdoor experiences, and personal growth for our Scouts and their families.
Below you will find the Pack’s “Restart Plan” along with a copy of the official Boy Scouts of America “SAFE Restart Scouting Checklist”.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding this information, please contact the Pack directly via email.
Pack 1600 Restart Plan
A safe restart of our Cub Scout program does not mean that it is a risk free restart. As a result, we have put together the following plan in accordance with guidance from the Minsi Trails Council to help minimize risk. The SAFE Restart Scouting Checklist for Scouting is included here and is part of our plan.
Please work with us as a team to help abide by these important guidelines which are designed to help keep us all safe. Thanks!
The Pack will follow Local, State and Jordan UCC (our chartered organization) guidelines.
We will have no gatherings greater than 250 people in accordance with the Green Phase.
Anyone showing symptoms such as a fever, temperature > 100 degrees, coughing, chills, muscle
pain or having contact with a person who is confirmed to have COVID-19 will not attend any live
events.
Temperature and symptom screening prior to events will be conducted.
Wear your own masks. Masks must be worn at meetings held in person.
Maintain 6 foot distancing at meetings. To minimize group sizes, meetings will be held in
separate classrooms and outdoors if possible. Den leaders will be responsible for maintaining
social distancing.
If used, Den Meeting rooms will be cleaned before and after each meeting.
Food at events will be distributed to individuals – shared handling of serving utensils will be
discontinued.
High risk individuals with CDC conditions will not attend events.
